Do you recall the 2015 Singapore GP Ferrari celebrations where Sebastian Vettel stopped and asked the team to add Kimi Raikkonen’s name to the board as well? However, seems like Daniel Ricciardo hasn’t learned the skill of not letting your teammate feel left out from his former teammate as he was absent from Yuki Tsunoda’s Miami GP celebrations once again.

Yes, you read that right, the ever-smiling Daniel Ricciardo, who seems to be getting along with everyone, decided to skip the Miami GP team celebrations as Yuki Tsunoda finished P7 and scored a huge result for the otherwise struggling VCARB. The Japanese driver started the race P10 and made up positions to finish P7, scoring 6 valuable points for the team. This performance came after a disappointing Sprint for the Japanese driver.

Daniel Ricciardo on the other hand had a great Sprint race finishing P4 but wasn’t able to replicate the same in qualifying and main race, and did seem a little downbeat about it. That might be the reason why he skipped the team celebrations all together, or might refer to him losing interest in the team as Liam Lawson is already rumored to be the one who’s going to replace him sooner rather than later.

And this isn’t the first time that Daniel Ricciardo has done this. The same happened in Japan as well where his teammate and home hero Yuki Tsunoda scored a point. A big thing for the Japanese driver and something that was celebrated by both the fans and the team. But unfortunately, not Daniel Ricciardo as he was spotted having some sort of discussion with Alex Albon as the team celebrated. A potential move to Willaims for the HoneyBadger?

Whatever it may be, an F1 pundit has revealed that Daniel Ricciardo is in fact in danger, and it’s none other than Liam Lawson who’s threatening. But how and why?

Liam Lawson threatens to replace Daniel Ricciardo as a surprise clause in his Red Bull contract is revealed

Daniel Ricciardo’s form hasn’t been the best since the start of the season until his P4 in the Miami Sprint. Liam Lawson on the other hand only drove a couple of races last year and impressed everyone on the grid. The New Zealander seems ti be future championship material and Red Bull wouldn’t want to let go of him. However, a clause in his contract demands him to be given a seat for the coming, and if not fulfilled, Lawson is free to leave and join another team. Red Bull would definitely not want that and Ricciardo is the current Red Bull driver most at the risk of being sacked.

Joe Saward in his blog revealed, “The thing about Lawson is that his Red Bull contract stipulates that he must be given a race drive in 2025 or he can walk away to a rival team. Some other teams are interested, so Red Bull must decide what to do and logic suggests that they might as well sign him for next year and start training him up straight away, hoping that he will score more than the two current drivers,”

What did you make of Daniel Ricciardo’s absence? Is it just a coincidence or is there some greater reason behind it?
