“I’ll remember this forever. Thank you, everyone, ,” wrote Lando Norris as he posted a picture of himself hugging his first winners’ trophy. When F1 raced in Miami, most people in the Eastern side of the world slept or didn’t tune into the race, thinking that the obvious result of Max Verstappen winning wasn’t worth sacrificing their sleep. But little did they know! Norris won his first race in 305 and sent out a very sweet message dedicating the win to his granny. Take a look at why he did it.
Kevin Magnussen and Logan Sargeant (during Miami GP) had an incident that brought out the safety car. This changed the course of the race and history, giving F1 their 114th race winner and McLaren their 2nd one in a decade. The young British driver finally got to stand on the top step of the podium after 110 times of asking. Right before he did, he thanked his parents and grandparents. In the latest episode of the Fast and Curious podcast, he explains why.

“Next level crazy” achievement, next stop for Lando Norris
The first race win is always very special and even more so for someone who has had to wait for almost the longest time in history to do that. While that first item on the bucket list stands checked out, there is another mammoth target for him this year. (a one he has set for himself).

Lando said, “I would love to (win at Silverstone). I really wanted to win in Silverstone. Miami was a great place and a very cool place to win. So, not gonna complain. But one thing along the way that I would really love is to win in Silverstone, win in front of my home fans. That would just be the next level of crazy. That’s my next goal. As much as I would love to win in Imola and all these other places, a win in Silverstone is as top as it gets for now.”
Do you think Lando Norris could win at Silverstone?
