Sebastian Vettel finished his last qualifying session with Ferrari. The relationship between the German and the Italian team has not been the best this season. Sebastian Vettel is finally ending his chapter with Ferrari, but not how he would have liked it.
The former champion joined the team with an aim to win the championship with Formula 1’s red devils. However, things have not turned out for him as he makes the move to Aston Martin next year.
He was heard dejected once again at the end of his qualifying session. It is fair to say the German was not used to qualifying beyond P10. However, this season has seen him get knocked out of qualifying 2 more often than his liking.
In a post-qualifying interview, Sebastian spoke about his qualifying session, It was the first time since 2015 that the German qualified out of P3 at Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. He said, “Yeah, so, I think in 2015 we messed up, today we didn’t mess up, we were just slow.”
Sebastian Vettel surprised at the delta between Ferrari cars
Sebastian Vettel had made claims earlier this season that Ferrari was providing Leclerc with a faste car. He later apologized for his comments. However, the Formula 1 community has accepted that the team is focusing on making the car Leclerc-friendly.

Vettel said he was quite happy with his qualifying session. “Obviously there’s a mystery why there’s such a big delta between the cars. I don’t think anywhere in the pit lane there’s such a big delta,” he pointed out.
The interviewee pointed out that this Sunday will be the last race for Vettel with Ferrari. Vettel simply replied, “Yeah, yeah…nothing to say,” before he smiles and walks away from the interview.
Vettel will be driving for Aston Martin alongside Lance Stroll next season. He will try to make the most of his last race with Ferrari. He would want to end the season on a good note. Hopefully, Ferrari will not commit another pit stop blunder as Vettel bids farewell.
