Lewis Hamilton is back to win the last race of the season. But he already feels the heat after Verstappen’s flying lap at Yas Marina. Mercedes AMG Twitter congratulated Verstappen on finally grabbing a pole. The tweet was in relation to a joke that Verstappen had cracked on himself earlier. “Max, we’re gonna need that chair back buddy,” read the tweet once the Dutchman had secured pole.

Max Verstappen is not here to chase Mercedes around. He has matured and developed perspective in the races. Well, with all that and years of training, Max does deserve a win. The only driver to trouble Mercedes all the season might as well go ahead and grab glory.
The Sakhir Grand Prix had been disappointing for Verstappen. After securing a satisfactory grid position, he had to retire at the very first lap of the race. After a crash that could have ended worse, Max and Leclerc got caught in the gravel trap walking back to their camps.
Whatever may be the past, Max doesn’t let that possess him. He does not sit back consumed by past failure and keeps striving evey weekend. Well that is the prime reason for Red Bull’s Austrian advisor’s undying faith in Max Verstappen.
The Dutchman has secured the best place to start his race. All he needs to be careful of is maintain that form througout. The race for Sunday is lined to be the most exciting. Although Red Bull does not have a front row lockout, they press Mercedes on both sides. Who wins is a play of fate altogether. All we would do is root for the best and have the popcorn ready.
