Lynn’s lap of 1:28.236 was 0.439 seconds quicker than the sister V-Series.R driven by Earl Bamber, securing Cadillac’s third front-row lockout of the season.
The second row of the grid will be shared by Aston Martin and Peugeot, owing to the efforts of the two Danes, Marco Sørensen and Mikkel Jensen. Sørensen was only 0.030s from the front row, with his compatriot a further 0.011s adrift.
Hypercar World Endurance Drivers’ Championship-leading #51 Ferrari entry qualified sixth, with Antonio Giovinazzi at the wheel, while Lone Star Le Mans pole-sitter Robert Kubica rounded out the top 10.
In the initial qualifying session, which determined the top ten runners who advanced into the pole position-deciding Hyperpole, Sørensen topped the times with a lap of 1:28.935s, just 0.054 seconds quicker than Jensen.
While the leading Aston Martin and Peugeot cars enjoyed strong qualifying, their sister machines were among the first to be eliminated, as was the Lone Star Le Mans-winning #6 Porsche, after a Turn 1 lockup for Kevin Estre.
The LMGT3 class saw pole captured by Racing Spirit of Léman Aston Martin driver Eduardo Barrichello, who reprised his Interlagos heroics by setting a pole time of 1:39.981s. That effort was only 0.030s better than the best lap of Sean Gelael aboard the #95 United Autosports McLaren.
The second row in the class will also be shared by an Aston Martin and a McLaren, but in reverse order, with Sébastien Baud third and Zacharie Robichon fourth-fastest in the session.
The lights will go green for the penultimate round of the season tomorrow at 11:00 local time.
